The New York Philharmonic has announced a new President and CEO starting January 1, 2025: Matías Tarnopolsky, who holds the same position currently with the Philadelphia Orchestra. The guy seems qualified and on paper like a good choice. But yesterday’s article in The New York Times announcing his hiring raises some red flags for me.
