Two US orchestras recently settled their contact negotiations at the very last minute. The New York Philharmonic will see a base salary of $205,000 at the end of their newly-negotiated three year contract and the National Symphony Orchestra will see a base salary of $171,879 for months 12-18 of the short contract just settled in time to save their gala.
